Together with thongs, horn toggles were used predominantly on medieval shoes and seem to be used in the northern more primitive cultures. Toggles are still used to day on pea coats and large jackets. The Horn Period in Time Handmade Toggle Set comes with five pieces of hand carved horn. There are two pre-drilled holes for thongs or laces. Add them to a cute coat, a period costume, or come up with your own project.
