The Basket Case OTF Knife is a gorgeous OTF or out the front knife with a beautiful basket weave design on both sides of the handle. The blade itself is Damascus steel which is the combination of hundreds of layers of 15N20 and 1095 high carbon steel to produce a blade with a gorgeous wavy design. An OTF knife is characterized by a switch on one side that, when pushed, causes the blade to spring out from inside the handle. This style of automatic knife is very popular due to the added safety of the blade retracting fully into the handle when not deployed. The Automatic Basket Case OTF reminds me of a tropical paradise; the weave of plant fronds and the blade looks almost like smoke rising from a beach bonfire.
